Have you ever been to Disneyland in a hurricane? We can officially check that off our list. Jannet and Eddie reached out to us to shoot their 4 year anniversary portraits at Disneyland. You know us, we never say no at a chance to go to the happiest place on earth! When we booked their session, we assumed that it would be a hot day at Disney; since we shot in the middle of August! But then the week coming up to the session, news of a hurricane hitting California started to float around.
You don’t know how many times we went back and forth with our wonderful couple about this. We wanted to give them the photos but it’s still kind of scary knowing you are going to be in a hurricane. Literally up to an hour before shooting, we were still messaging each other about the rain. So we all braved it and went to Disneyland in a hurricane!
And it was oh so magical! As you can see in the photos, it was so empty. We got pictures that we would never ever get without people in them. At first Jannet and Eddie used an umbrella but by the middle of the session, she said screw it. This will be an anniversary session for the books! 4 year anniversary at Disneyland during a hurricane (ended up being a tropical storm lol).
