Brooke’s happy place is anywhere with pine trees so when it came time to pick a location, she knew she wanted to have Payson engagement photos. We love it when our couples pick somewhere special to themselves. Especially when we get to travel to new places! Going to Mogollon Rim was amazing! It reminded us of being back home in Washington.
Having Payson engagement photos done means that you get the most ethereal scenery! The central section of the rim are characterized by high cliffs of limestone and sandstone. The areas surrounding the central escarpment average between 4,000-5,000 feet in elevation, with some areas rising to over 8,000 feet. Dramatic white cliffs outline the edges of the forest with sheer dropouts to the valleys below, sometimes several hundred feet high.
We started the session at the rim and then headed down towards the lake. At the lake, we were lucky enough to find a wonderful family that let us borrow their boat for a few photos! As we were ending our shoot, we noticed the most beautiful sunset. We all had the most wonderful idea to try to book it back to the rim to capture the sunset. We are so glad we were able to make it in time because the photos there are to die for!
