When Angel reached out to us to plan a surprised Balboa Park proposal to his long time girlfriend, Sabrina; we were so happy! Angel and Sabrina were our very first couple that we got to shoot with at Disneyland. And if you know us, we love our Disneyland sessions. We’ve known Sabrina and Angel since 2019 and have been good friends ever since. We have been seriously waiting for this day for so long, but probably not as long as Sabrina lol.
Angel had this beautiful Balboa Park proposal planned at in the California Tower. We had no idea that you could go up this building. The tower was built in 1915 and is eight stories. Which means Suzanne (who has fears of stairs) had to climb up all those stairs lol. What we do for all our amazing couples! When we got to the top of the tower, we set up a beautiful bouquet of paper roses that Angel made out of pages from Harry Potter. He also folded a Harry Potter book to say “Marry Me”. As you can see, not only are these two big Disney fans, they are also Harry Potter fans!
After the proposal, we got to venture out around Balboa park to take some quick engagement pictures for the happy couple! Of course we had to bring a bridal Minnie ear for Sabrina for at least one photo 🙂
