Tom and Amanda drove from Portland to get some Cannon Beach engagement photos done. The PNW had a huge heat wave come through just a few days before and even on the day of their shoot, it was 90+ degrees in Portland. But because it’s the coast, it was cloudy, windy, and comfortably cool at their session. The wind was great because Amanda wore long maxi dresses and they flowed with the wind perfectly.
Tom and Amanda were so much fun to shoot with. These two are seriously made for each other! While getting outfits ready for the session, Amanda accidentally locked her keys in the car. For some strange reason, Tom had a gut feeling and brought his set with him as well! This happenstance made for so many laughs at the session.
We always love shooting Cannon Beach engagement sessions because the location is just so magical. When it’s cloudy, Haystack Rock looks ethereal with its misty covering right above the horizon. We also love the romantic feel of the tall green grass right on the beach. It makes it feel like it’s something out of a Nicholas Sparks movie.
